Rutgers IGERT Trainee Proposes a Novel Predictive Approach to Parse Stem Cell Fates
Predictive Parsing of Stem Cell Fates
Rutgers IGERT Trainee Matthew Treiser and Faculty Advisor Prabhas Moghe have developed a novel approach for imaging and early (24-48 h) predictive parsing of mesenchymal stem cell fates based on plotted morphometric descriptors. The figure shows two subpopulation of stem cells, one developing along the bone lineage (blue), the other along fat lineage (red). Late biochemical evidence of bone and fat tissues show in inset.
