Regulatory Network — Growth Hormone
Ingenuity Pathway Analysis of genes from a Male wild type/Female wild type mouse liver expression experiment in an HNF4A knockout from the lab of Dr. David Waxman. Included genes were designated as core genes by Gene Set Enrichment Analysis. Transcriptional relationships are highlighted by orange arrows. Dashed lines are termed “indirect” by IPA, solid lines are “direct.” Arrow direction indicates direction of functionality. Gene shape refers to currently known gene function, e.g. a diamond represents an enzyme. Shape color indicates gene expression in a controlled-release Growth Hormone time course study that measured gene expression while infusing a male mouse with growth hormone at a constant level. The bar chart next to each shape represents that gene’s expression at each time point. Note the highlight of CES3. We noted that CES3 has no upstream, growth hormone dependent regulation, thus we postulate that there is an upstream, growth-hormone dependent regulator of CES3.
