Shotgun DNA Mapping
Summary of 30 trials of shotgun DNA matching.
This experiment was performed for 32 different experimental unzipping curves of pBR322. Blue histogram represents the correct match scores for the 32 experimental data sets, while the red histogram represents all incorrect match scores. Solid lines are fits to the normal distribution. Overlap of the two distributions indicates probability of false positives which has an area of .014.
