Building damage assessment following the Haiti Earthquake
Professor Chris Renschler (IGERT Faculty) leads a group of students in a post-disaster building damage assessment following the Haiti Earthquake. The work involved locating and mapping damaged and collapsed buildings through comparison of pre- and post-event remote sensing imagery, structural engineering interpretation, and GIS mapping. Among the group are Amy Frazier (IGERT Trainee) and Suzanne Roussie (IGERT affiliate).
