Developmental biologist Bruce Blumberg is showing the expression of the Tbx-1 gene in the head region of a frog embryo. He’s studying how Tbx-1 expression regulates development of the sonsry organs. The loss of Tbx-1 expression can result in DiGeorge Syndrome in human.
