IGERT Trainee Engage in Fundamental Research on Aerosol Transport in Indoor Environments
IGERT Trainee Brent Stephens using state-of-the-art aerosol instrumentation.
National Science Foundation Integrative Graduate Education and Research (IGERT) program on Indoor Environmental Science and Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin trainee Brent Stephens poses in front of a scanning mobility particle sizer (SMPS) that is used to count and size nanoparticles. Brent is using the SMPS and other state-of-the-art aerosol instrumentation to measure the penetration of particles from the outdoor environment to indoors as well as to develop a novel in-situ method to assess heating and cooling system filter efficiency.
