Protein Nanopatterns by Oxime Bond Formation
Electron-beam patterning of an aminooxy-containing polymer to produce protein nanopatterns.
An aminooxy-containing polymer is patterned on silicon wafers using e-beam lithography to create nanopatterned features capable of immobilizing proteins modified to contain an N-terminal ketone (a). Atomic force microscopy confirms fabrication of nanoscale features (b). Immunostaining followed by fluorescence microscopy confirms the immobilization of ubiquitin through oxime bond formation.
