Food web game and environmental restoration
IGERT trainee Tawny Mata (on left, wearing baseball cap) and students from rural Esparto High play a game of “Coyotes, Beetles and Jays” as a prelude to a discussion about food chains and population dynamics. The game and discussion take place as part of a field day at a site in the Capay Valley, California, being restored as part of a partnership between the landowner, state agencies, and the Center for Land Based Learning.
