PEG-dimethacrylate crosslinks are shown in orange and phosphorylcholine is shown in black. The phosphorylcholine content is kept constant and PEGDMA is varied to achieve an extremely wide range of Youngs moduli. PEG-PC hydrogels also remain perfectly optically transparent up to approximately 2 MPa, and are mostly transparent up to and including ~ 7 Mpa.
