Achievement

Our fourth cohort very effectively redesigned and delivered a laboratory sequence for the fifth cohort. They used their experience from the previous year and their assessment of what had worked well and what had been missing in the experience. They added a programming workshop as a kick off lab and then designed a lab sequence that required the 5th cohort students to design a sensor system, and execute it. Each 4th cohort member provided helpful mentoring in addition to the laboratory instruction. Cohort 4 members indicated that designing and delivering the labs helped with their own research - "we had to make our own learning materials and lectures to make a nice robust lab, and it helped me with my own research and learning"
