NSF IGERT Trainee Tanya Brown was asked to contribute to a series on the NSF LiveScience.com website about the wind research efforts at Texas Tech University, the VORTEX2 project, and other hurricane and tropical storm deployments. Her series of six articles is a record-breaking amount for LiveScience.com to produce for one organization, let alone a research center within one university. IGERT Trainee Ian Giammanco and IGERT Co-PI Dr. Weiss were also featured in the series.
