Grants and Awards Received by Trainees this report period are as follows: Trainee Michael Ceballos, Director of the Native American Research Laboratory at the University of Montana received a fellowship for the National Science Foundation's EAGER Program ($300,000) for A Novel Enzyme Sequestration Platform: Rapid Development of the "Rosettazyme" for Cellulosic Substrate Deconstruction. This award spans 2 years starting 08/01/2009. Michael Ceballos also was awarded a National Science Foundation REU ($284,700) REU Site: Mountains and Minds, A program in Chemical Biology. 3 years starting 06/01/09. In addition, Michael Ceballos received a Ford Foundation Fellowship award ($21,000) which started on 06/01/09. Trainee Kellie Carim was awarded am NSF Graduate Research Fellowship of $40,500 per year for up to 3 years.
