Oberlin Modeling Initiative Curriculum Development Grants

Our major educational achievement is also a research achievement: the NSF CPATH award supporting the Oberlin Modeling Initiative Curriculum Development Grants. Five of our trainees (Mike Bommarito, Dan Katz, Jon Zelner, Dana Jackman and Abe Gong) will work with Oberlin College faculty members this summer to develop computational modeling components of their courses. Our trainees will be involved in curriculum development and assist in teaching the courses in the fall. This is a great opportunity for our trainees to gain experience in teaching and curriculum development while assisting faculty and collaborating with a small, liberal arts college. We believe NSF CPATH awarded the grant, in large part, due to our IGERT program.
