Achievement

Jill Baumgartner has been awarded and accepted a Global Energy Leadership Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the U of Minnesota. She also was awarded a Global Health Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Duke University which she declined. The Global Energy Leadership Fellows are part of the Initiative for Renewable Energy and the Environment at the University of Minnesota. The fellows design and carry out their own forward-thinking research on sustainable energy systems in such fields as bioenergy, solar energy, carbon capture and storage, wind energy and energy-efficient buildings, among others. Jill is collaborating with Profs. Yang Xudong and Zhao Bin at Tsinghua University to develop her project on black carbon, climate and health.
