IGERT course on Light Microscopy
Biology 547, Advanced Techniques in Light Microscopy, was offered as credit for the INCBN IGERT students. Enrollment for this course in Spring 2010 reached full capacity at 12 students (up from 6 students 3 years ago, when the course was introduced). An INCBN IGERT mentor, Prof. Diane Lidke, was instructor of record for the course on the Medical School side. She contributed lectures for the course as well as microscopy demonstrations that used imaging equipment that is part of the Microscopy Facility and purchased by the INCBN IGERT. She also performed demonstrations of single quantum dot tracking for the class.
