Research Achievements
Building ties with local universities
We continue to build ties with local universities, particularly Howard University and Johns Hopkins University. This fall IGERT students from GWU visited labratories and met with researchers at Howard to investigate future research opportunities. Students and faculty from Johns Hopkins University visited GWU in the spring term, spending a day visiting with faculty, students, and laboratory space. JHU has since begun participating in our weekly discussion of current journal articles and brown bags discussions of on-going research within the department.
