Response of olfactory systems to odorants
Hannah Arnson, an IGERT trainee with program faculty Timothy Holy, has developed science and technology to study the response of mammalian olfactory systems to odorants. Her system is sophisticated in both the precise delivery of stimuli and in the real-time, three-dimensional recording of in vivo neuronal activity through cutting edge fluorescent microscopy. Hannah presented this work as a first author on an article in the Journal of Visualized Experiments and as a second author on an article in press in Nature Neuroscience.
