Achievement

The Project Building course serves as the capstone training of our IGERT program. Within this course students conceptualize and develop their own project that independently and interdisciplinarily spans brains science at Washington University. Students present oral and written development of their projects, culminating in an NRSA-style application. This year the coursemaster of Project Building, Deanna Barch, instituted an NIH-style review panel for the cohort of students to adjudicate each other's work, to receive in-depth feedback, and to develop the students' careers by demystifying the grant application and review process.
