Trainee receives awards at meetings
One of our IGERT students, Samantha Meenach (Ph.D., Chemical Engineering) has recently received a number of awards for her research presentations at both national and regional meetings. They include 1st Place, Materials Science & Engineering Division Poster Session, 2009 American Institutes of Chemical Engineers Annual Meeting, Nashville, TN, 3rd Place, Bionanotechnology Graduate Student Award Session, 2009 American Institutes of Chemical Engineers Annual Meeting, Nashville, TN, and 1st Place, Society For Biomaterials Biomaterials Day Oral Presentation, University of Kentucky & Case Western Reserve University, Lexington, KY. Samantha also was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Award to pursue a postdoctoral position in Germany but had to decline the offer due to other commitments.
