Flow visualization techniques
Flow visualization techniques being developed by IGERT student Jonathan Palacios and his advisor Eugene Zhang (Computer Science) were applied in summer 2009 to visualize atmospheric pressure and wind data from the eastern Pacific, as a project conducted by a team of three undergraduate students in the Ecoinformatics Summer Institute, in collaboration with J. Jones (Geosciences). Palacios helped mentor the three undergraduate students, who submitted an abstract of their work to the American Geophysical Union annual meeting.
