Achievement

IGERT trainee Rania Ibrahim, working with IGERT advisor Gerald Kasting (Pharmacy), was awarded first place for her poster presentation at the national conference for the Society of Cosmetic Chemists in Chicago, IL (June 4-5th, 2009). Rania reports that her "interaction with individuals from various disciplines during the IGERT program made it possible for myself to understand how to communicate my research to others whom may or may not have a similar research background as myself." Rania also presented her own work at OEESC 2009 in Edinburgh, Scotland in June, 2009. That was her first international scientific presentation.
