Achievement

Our current and past IGERT Trainees have received a number of notable awards for their scholarly excellence that resulted from CIIP activities. Trainee Kim Lellis-Dibble received a prestigious EPA STAR grant this year to advance the research she started on her CIIP internship. To support his CIIP white paper and internship projects, trainee Bogdan Prokopovych won an Embassy Policy Specialist Program fellowship from IREX (International Research & Exchanges Board) funded by the U.S. State Department to support his white paper on environmental issues in Azerbaijan. For her research conducted during her IGERT internship, trainee Carrie Byron won Best student paper at the annual meeting of the Southern New England Chapter of the American Fisheries Society.
