Social interactions between the blind and sighted
Stephanie Auld conducted research to evaluate social interactions between blind and sighted individuals when viewing classical art presented using the B-Code. The B-Code is a tactile code created using fabric and backing to map to colors. This code allows the recreation of classical works of Art that people with limited sight can explore via touch. The Code was developed by Sarah Barker. Stephanie presented preliminary results from this work at the Urban Arts Gallery in Columbus, OH in conjunction with an exhibition of the Sarah Barker's B-Code creations (selections of classical art work recreated with textured fabric.
