"Through the IGERT-sponsored internship program, I was able to teach a semester of Modern Physics at Lipscomb University in 2009. As a small liberal arts university, Lipscomb is a very different environment from the major research environment Vanderbilt. That opportunity resulted in an ongoing teaching position at Lipscomb through which I have continued to gain valuable pedagological experience, furthering my career goal of a faculty position in the academic context."
