Trainee co-wries NSF MRI grant
One trainee actively co-wrote a DoD DURIP and a successful NSF MRI grant. He went through all the stages of planning, designing the system that was the main topic of the proposal, researching various vendors, and obtaining relevant quotes. He helped outline the budget for the proposal and was introduced to how Fastlane and grants.gov works. This experience is not available to many students and will prove invaluable when he has to establish his own independent research program.
Another trainee was a co-inventor on the Apparatus and Method for Compressive Imaging and Sensing Through Multiplexed Modulation patent. U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 61/267/397 filed December 7, 2009. US2010/059343.
