Achievement

IGERT trainees Dante Guerra and Jesse Guerra collaborated in and developed a layer by layer spray process to manufacture tailored nano films. We have used several nano particles such as CNF, MWCNT, nano clay, etc. This films have been applied to composite materials to provide abrasion protection and improved surface conductivity. The effect of the nano particles on chemical reaction and material flow were studied. Dante is focusing on the manufacturing of the film and Jesse on evaluation of mechanical properties of nanofilms
