Coarse grain force field development research
Tom Weingarten, working with his advisor, Yingkai Zhang, has continued his research on coarse grain force field development. He has investigated further the Force Matching and Pairwise Mean Force methods, developing a new polynomial implementation for each. He has also tested the Inverse Monte Carlo method combined with a rotational force function. He carried out tests of interaction functions based on three body and density-dependent potentials. Currently He is working on a novel target for interaction function determination based on relative accelerations, as well as a systematic method for deriving rotationally dependent interaction functions.
