COB Research Colloquium
In the COB Research Colloquium, the COB students (and interested faculty from across NYU), attended and reported upon presentations given by computational biologists on their research programs. Over the 09-09 academic year there were 9 such colloquia presented, with topics ranging from modeling the dynamics of bacterial suspensions (Shelley, NYU), to calculating transition pathways in chemical networks (Vanden Eijden, NYU), to modeling of networks in synthetic and systems biology (Tidor, MIT). Within this venue, five COB students also presented public presentations upon the state of their own research, with "Towards discovering Cancer pathways" (Greenfield) and "Rational Design of Modulators of the Unfolded Protein Response" (Ho) being two such reports.
