Role of a kinase in prostate cancer
Trainee Andrew Paluch works under the direction of Dr. Susan Waltz in the Department of Cancer and Cell Biology. His IGERT funding supports his studies concerning the role of the Ron Receptor Tyrosine Kinase in promoting androgen-independent prostate cancer. During this reporting period, he won an award at the recent University of Cincinnati Graduate Student Poster Forum. He was one of two awardees from Life Sciences & Medicine and the title of his poster was "Lineage-Specific Roles for the Ron Receptor in Prostate Cancer".
