Achievement

CIIP Trainee Bogdan Prokopovych was awarded a Kauffman Dissertation Award for his research on sustainable coastal markets. Kauffman Awards recognize emerging scholars to support the promotion entrepreneurship as an important field of academic study. Only 15 awards are made nationally. Prokopovych's dissertation research topic was developed while he was supported as an IGERT trainee. We are especially proud of Bogdan's award -- the collaboration of the environmental science and business communities are an important alliance that must be strengthened to address conflicts between development and conservation in coastal ecosystems.
