Achievement

We used the basic training program of the IGERT project as the basis for creating a training program for a new NSF UBM project called FESCUE. We train groups of biology and mathematics freshman to work in interdisciplinary teams. IGERT trainees and postdocs helped develop the laboratory-based curriculum and helped mentor the research teams.
