Achievement

We have been working on new ways to support team building within cohorts. In previous years we started the semester and new cohort with a team building session by a team training consultant. The consultant asked how we proposed to evaluate them as a team. We realized we were asking them to function as a team but grading them individually, so this year we had them complete their exams as a team. We also asked the previous cohort who design labs for the current cohort to design these as team exercises and grade them as a team. This approach was well received by the cohort (from assessment by the evaluator) and has lead to a very strong team.
