Achievement

IGERT Trainees Michael Ceballos and Marnie Rout received their PhDs during this reporting period. Michael Ceballos developed and is serving as Interim Director of the NARL (Native American Research Laboratory) while completing his PhD program. NARL has become institutionalized at the University of Montana and is recognized as the first of its kind in the United States. Marnie Rout has accepted a position as a Microbial Ecologist Postdoctoral Research Scientist with the USDA Agricultural Research Service in Miles City, MT starting in July 2011. Here she will continue the research developed during her PhD program with MEID.
