Achievement

The IGERT-LifeChips program at UC Irvine continues to host the LifeChips Seminar Series which features research presentations from top faculty members from large variety of scientific backgrounds. Seminar speakers travel from their home departments and, at times, across the country to speak at these highly anticipated seminars. The LifeChips Seminar Series promotes the interdisciplinary goals of the IGERT-LifeChips program by creating an environment that encourages students and faculty from different departments to come together to learn about new research and discuss interdisciplinary connections and applications. Hosted by IGERT-LifeChips trainees, the seminars also serve as an educational tool that gives IGERT-LifeChips trainees the opportunity to see what it?s like to host a guest speaker and put together an entire program from start to finish.
