Advanced Techniques in Light Microscopy
Biology 547, Advanced Techniques in Light Microscopy, was offered for credit to the INCBN IGERT Trainees. Enrollment for this course in Spring 2011 reached full capacity at 12 students (up from 6 students 4 years ago, when the course was introduced). An INCBN IGERT mentor, Prof. Diane Lidke, was instructor of record for the course on the Health Sciences Center side. She contributed lectures for the course as well as microscopy demonstrations that used imaging equipment available at the Microscopy Facility and purchased by the INCBN IGERT. She also performed demonstrations of single quantum dot tracking for the class.
