New core course professor
The CCSN program transitioned its core computational course to a new assistant professor in biomedical engineering, Barani Raman. Dr Raman built his course around traditional computational approaches and new analyses and theories built around simultaneous multi-electrode recordings. Dr Raman brings new insight into his course through his dual background in computer science and invertebrate neurophysiology, adding biological heft and modern techniques to the computational component of the curriculum.
