Circadian rhythms in plants

Jeff Nelson's doctoral thesis work, underway in the Kay (UCSD Biology) and Ecker (Salk Institute) labs, is directed at understanding the transcriptional networks that underlie circadian rhythms in plants. An approach he is taking involves the compilation of a complete transcription factor library for the reference plant Arabidopsis thaliana, a task that would not have been possible without access to the genomic and computational resources of the Ecker lab and support from the IGERT fellowship.
