Lecture series supports IGERT goals
One of the goals of the IGERT program is to prevent student overspecialization, in part by encouraging all students to become involved in both theoretical and experimental investigations. As one component of this training, the program offered a 9-hour series of lectures presented by Prof. David Muller entitled "Imaging Nanostructures and Nanoparticles." The lectures attracted a capacity audience of approximately 40 graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and other faculty. The four-hour, hands-on Introduction to Transmission Electron Microscopy was also very popular.
