Achievement

Student-Led Colloquia Sessions. This reporting period allowed two sessions of the Modeling Complex Systems IGERT colloquium each week for an entire semester. Trainees that completed all IGERT-related coursework were asked to develop their own colloquia topics and associated homework assignments for a particular week. This undertaking was a piggyback to helping our students to sharpen their oral communication skills. There was a high level of enthusiasm for Trainees to develop interesting themes and subject matter for new Trainees who will eventually carry this torch. Peer evaluations were completed via Blackboard for the benefit of helping these new IGERT discussion leaders to receive constructive criticism and commendation for their effort.
