Achievement

CREATE-IGERT trainees participated in intense summer technical courses, offered for the second time in 2010. Program Engineer, Dr. Larry Joh, instructed both the Plant Transformation and the Protein Purification of Plant-Made Products courses. Both courses require the trainees to work in interdisciplinary teams. Dr. Joh has designed the courses to encourage friendly competition between the teams, which strive to optimize conditions and processes related to plant transformation and protein purification.
