Achievement

The IGERT students participate in a seminar class each semester. This past semester, the class focused on brainstorming sessions. Each IGERT student was asked to present a brief background of their research and then discuss a challenge/roadblock that they have encountered related to their research. The other IGERT students were then asked to provide suggestions on how the student could overcome this challenge. As the students were providing suggestions, the presenter wrote the suggestions on the board and then they all prioritized the suggestions. These sessions were very stimulating as the students are from various backgrounds and were able to give their perspective on how the research challenges could be solved.
