How 'brain training' impacts language processing
Erika Hussey and Susan Teubner-Rhodes, two students whose background is in memory rather than in language, have benefited from team-supervision and cross-training to develop a successful program of research on how 'brain training' impacts language processing abilities in adults. They have worked with faculty supervisors from Psychology, Linguistics, Human Development, and the Center for Advanced Study of Language. Most recently, Erika Hussey's poster on "How exercising (your brain) improves language use" was selected among the award winners at this year's IGERT Student Poster competition.
