Achievement

Pablo Granados-Dieseldorff’s research in marine fisheries conservation biology in the Gulf of Honduras was featured in the Spring 2011 newsletter distributed to more than 10,000 people directly involved in conservation science worldwide. In the past year, he designed surveys and created collection forms for fisheries data. He analyzed time-series data and created stock assessments for three marine protected areas (Port Honduras Marine Reserve, Gladden Spit and Silk Cayes Marine Reserve, Laughing Bird Marine Reserve, and Sapodillas Cayes Marine Reserve). Pablo is developing with TIDE and SEA a stakeholder-centered fishery stock assessment protocol for the southern Mesoamerican Reef, a marine biodiversity hotspot of global importance.
