Best Presentation Award at international forum
Chris Dennison, Drexel Ph.D student (advisor: E.C. Kumbur), won the Best Presentation Award at the Third International Forum on Multidisciplinary Research and Education for Energy Sciences Conference held in December 2010 in Ishigaka, Japan. Chris' presentation, "Open Circuit Voltage and Effects of Electrode Compression in Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries" provided an overview of his research on Electrochemical Energy Systems and Complex Fluids and Multiphase Transports. This research is anticipated to develop novel electrode materials, which maximize power density performance and may revolutionize the way we think of energy storage devices. Eric Wargo, IGERT Associate, also attended and presented at the 2010 conference.
