Efficient solar cells
An exciting accomplishment by a trainee (Bryce Walker) and an associate research (Wei - Chang Yang) was the synthesis of copper zinc tin sulfide nanocrystals that resulted in 7.2% efficient solar cells. It should be pointed out that this is the second highest power conversion efficiency reported in the literature to date. It proved the viability and attractiveness of our approach to create solar cells via a nanocrystal ink based route. The results were published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society, 132,17384 (2010).
