Education Achievements
Interdisciplinary research rotations
Cross-campus, interdisciplinary research rotations were initiated in Fall 2010. All IGERT students will participate in semester-long research rotations to work in the laboratories of collaborators on a different campus in a different discipline. This year, one student from Nanoscience and Nanoengineering from SDSM&T spent a semester in a Materials Chemistry laboratory at USD. Another student from the Materials Chemistry program at USD spent a semester in an Electrical Engineering laboratory at SDSU. Another rotation from SDSU Electrical Engineering to USD Materials Chemistry is planned for summer 2011.
