Achievement

Our first IGERT cadre of trainees organized and hosted the Cache River Research Symposium, an event attended by university researchers, regional natural resource managers, environmental groups, local politicians, and landowners. The symposium was culminated in a panel discussion on environmental, social, and economic issues in the basin. Participants included a cross section of researchers and stakeholders representing different interests in the region.
