Education Achievements
MSKCC and Hunter College collaboration
However, one programmatic educational achievement lies in the tight collaboration of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) with Hunter College in the development of courses that speak to the research needs of the IGERT students. Presently, we have one first year student, who is an IGERT associate. In addition to the graduate courses that she is taking at the CUNY graduate center, she is taking a course specifically designed for the IGERT at MSKCC. This course is a Basic Sciences Lecture in Radiochemistry and Nuclear Medicine given mostly to residents at MSKCC. The course instructors have modified the course to include pedagogical exercises for the IGERT associate above the course material for residents.
We are establishing a menu of courses at MSKCC (the above as well as a Molecular Imaging Lecure course) as well as at Rockefeller University for future IGERT students.
