Achievement

Margaret Fleming was awarded an internship at the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) in Golden, CO. The internship is part of the IGERT MASB educational program. Margaret is working on a collaborative project between researchers at NREL and Colorado State University developing enzyme assays to investigate suites of enzymes that successfully break down cellulosic biomass in biomass pretreatment. This opportunity will enhance Margaret's research at CSU to enhance biomass pre-process mechanisms. She was able to secure this position because of the ties our MASB program has with NREL researchers.
