Trainee works in new field
Aaron (AJ) Prussin II, with no notable prior experience in any branch of engineering, successfully completed the new course "Fundamentals of Mechanics" and used this new knowledge to conducted a research rotation with PI Mark Stremler that focused on mathematical modeling of microbe transport and deposition. This modeling work complemented his other research rotation with MultiSTEPS faculty member David Schmale aimed at quantifying microbe concentrations in the atmosphere. This work formed the basis for the MultiSTEPS IGERT poster submission and will be submitted to the journal Aerobiologia in May. AJ has presented this work in the MultiSTEPS seminar and to local high school students.
